According to a new type of node,we studied a new structure-- tensegrity-like shell structure.Considered the character of this structure, we made a deep research and designed the shape of the shell.The pre-force of the steel cable and the shell's hyperbolic paraboloid which can afford the two-directioned force improved the integral stability and stiffness of the structure hugely.And then we studied the structure's internal force character under two kinds of loads combination through the simulation procedure.After that,we compared the shell's internal force and the deformation between shells with many different geometrical parameters. On the base of this comparation, we revised the original shell geometrical parameters.We also compared the yield load between the tensegrity-like shell structure and the tradional shell structure in the premise of equal steel costing and concluded that the tensegrity-like shell structure had a better integral stability which could avoid the unstable destruction.To simplify the construction simulation process,we made some predigestions which were proved acceptable.Subsequently,we found the appropriate cable pre-force value and a correspond construction way and simulated the construction process of the shell and established a theory foundation for the further development of the tensegrity-like shell structure.
