Shell-Tensegrity hybrid structure is a new self-quilibrium tensegrity space structure, composed of single-layer lattice shell and cable-strut tensile structure, has good performances. For its novel and beautiful shape, it has a widely practical perspective. Up to now, few studies on this type of structure has been carried out at home. Thus, a whole study on the performances of the structure is of great significance.Firstly, development history, present situation and characteristics are described, and project applications are introduced in this thesis. Secondly, development history, basic concept and characteristics of tensegrity are described clearly. Finally, the work content of this thesis is put forward.In the second part of this thesis, by using Generalize Inverse Matrix theory method we can solve equilibrium matrix and get self-stress mode. Program has been developed based on linear restriction pre-stress optimal design method .By using the program, we can get the combination coefficient of self-stress mode, then the linear combination of self-stress mode and combination coefficient determine the distribution of initial pre-stress .The static behavior under vertical loads of Shell-Tensegrity hybrid structure was analyzed on the initial state in the third part of this thesis. Moreover, the behavior of Shell-Tensegrity hybrid structure and single-layer lattice shell are compared. The influence of kinds of parameters is studied.The dynamic characteristics of Shell-Tensegrity hybrid structure are studied in the fourth part of this thesis. By using subspace iterative method, we can get the natural vibration frequency and vibration mode. Moreover, the dynamic characteristics of Shell-Tensegrity hybrid structure and single-layer lattice shell are compared. The influence of kinds of parameters is studied.In the fifth part of this thesis, the seismic response of the Shell-Tensegrity hybrid structure under lateral seismic action and vertical seismic action is studied by using time-history method. We can get the result of member bar's internal force and nodal displacement at any time.At the end of the thesis some conclusions are summarized and the problems that should be studied further are put forward.
