Study And Application Of The Traffic Planning Of The New Urban District

New urban district development is an inevitable product of the historical development of city when it reaches certain stage, which is an important part of city. And the development speed of the whole city is directly determined by the planning. Besides, the economic and social development as well as urbanization is influenced on by it. In the present situation of city scale extended rapidly, it seems especially urgent to do the research on ideas and methods related to traffic planning of the new urban district.This paper starts with the defining of the concepts related to new urban direct and summarizing its difference both at home and abroad. A comparative study is given and supplies a kind of inspiration. On that base, the difference between new direct planning and built-up area planning is found.According to the relationship between traffic planning and land utilization planning, the importance of land utilization in traffic planning of new direct is proposed and traffic supply and demand equilibrium is analyzed to find out their connection, with the aim to guide the traffic planning of new direct. This article presents conceptions and basic steps in planning, and proposes the ideas of traffic planning of new urban direct.Considering to the features in traffic planning of new urban direct, review of the related planning and host traffic planning analysis are presented in this paper firstly. In order to break though traditional thoughts in trip generation forecasting, with basic variables of population and land utilization, trying to regard relationship between traffic demand and land utilization as the mechanism, this thesis builds up the trip generation forecasting model oriented to new urban direct, which is based on deeply analyzing the origin of trip and difference of traffic characteristic between new direct and built-up area. In view to requirements of traffic planning of new direct and the demand of traffic situation in recent, the paper presents the principle and method of slow traffic planning in traffic planning of new urban direct, offering basis on traffic planning application in new urban direct. Finally the method proposed is tested with practical case in thesis.
