Because the high speed development of railway,we have to be confronted with the serious noise and vibration of railway,in the same time,people's life is getting better and better,so we can't tolerate the noise and vibration like before. So,we must research the noise and vibration ulteriorly.But the research of noise and vibration in our country is feeble,especially of the research on noise of railway passenger stations platform.The paper uses the method of virtual instrument and programme module, externally portable hardware to develop the railway virtual instrument by C++ Builder software.The system can be classified into two parts.One part is the external hardware and the other is data processing software.It has three functions, including data collection,data analysis and noise inspection.Applications verified that the system is of the reliability,correctness and applicability.Using the virtual instrument,through many experiments to analyse each noise of passenger stations platform,analyse the noise and vibration of low speed, analyse the relationship between noise and vibration.Major research contents and conclusions are as follows:1.the paper analyses the time ratio and noise contribution of each noise from passenger stations platform quantificationally.The conclusion is that the trains running noise is the main noise of passenger stations platform.So,the time domain characteristic of noise was analysed,the frequency domain characteristic of noise was also analysed.2.the paper analyses the noise of low speed.The conclusion is that the power of wheel/rail rolling noise concentrates between 200~600Hz,the power of wheel/rail impact noise is also;the speed characteristic of wheel/rail rolling noise is that the level of noise is higher with the increase of speed,and the high frequent increase too;the speed characteristic of wheel/rail impact noise is that the level of noise increase 6~8 dBA,when the speed double.3.the paper analyses the vibration of low speed.The conclusion is that the power of wheel/rail rolling vibration concentrates between 200~600Hz,the peak value of frequent is about 410Hz,the power of wheel/rail impact vibration is also, and the vibration of rail is affected infirmly by the vibration of wheels between 200~600Hz.4.the paper analyses the relationship between noise and vibration.The first conclusion is that the power of wheel/rail noise is radiated by rail primarily.The second conclusion is that the effect of wheel/rail noise by rail horizontal vibration shouldn't be ignored in low speed condition.5.on the ground of researching characteristics of wheel/rail noise and wheel/rail vibration,the paper give the proposals to control the wheel/rail noise aiming at the noise from rail.
