The technology of condition monitoring can ensure products quality, enhance economy efficiency, eliminate hidden faults and avoid accident. It is important for us to have knowledge of the equipment state to establish a reasonable maintenance strategy. LabVIEW technology becomes an important trend of faults monitoring for its flexible conceptive style, favorable man-machine interface and powerful digital signal processing ability. This paper analyzed software and hardware conceptive techniques of equipment condition monitoring system based on LabVIEW, developed a condition monitoring system of steam-turbine generator sets and a thickness monitoring system of bearing plate, and applied them in the industry manufacture.The paper includes six chapters:In chapter one, this paper described the significance, the development and the actuality of equipment condition monitoring system, introduced the development and application of LabVIEW technology, analyzed the existent problem of condition monitoring system, and presented the content of equipment condition monitoring system based on LabVIEW.In chapter two, based on the requirement of equipment condition monitoring system, the general configuration of equipment condition monitoring system was presented, the hardware composing and function of equipment condition monitoring system based on LabVIEW was analyzed. The common sensor used in equipment condition monitoring system was introduced and the choice of sensor was paid attention; the pretreatment circuit of signal was designed according to eddy current sensor and thermal resistor.In chapter three, the software platform function of equipment condition monitoring system was analyzed, the implemented method of data sampling, data management, signal analysis and display, and emote monitor were discussed.In chapter four, the hardware platform of equipment condition monitoring system was established by choosing needed sensor and data acquisition card, developing eddy current preprocessor and intelligent key-phase based on the LabVIEW, the steam-turbine generator sets condition monitoring system that has the function of data acquisition, data storage, data management, signal analysis, and remote monitor was established.In chapter five, according to the requirement of plate thickness control precision and technological flow sheet, the measurement scheme was designed and the real time condition monitoring system of plate thickness was established. The measurement precision is 0.01mm; the measurement interval is 5 seconds.
