With the improvement of the military level of the world,all kinds of firearms ammunitions continue to emerge,and the research on the muzzle noise and muzzle sm has never stopped.Muzzle noise can cause a lot of damage to the hearing of the shooter,smoke of the muzzle will affect the accuracy of shooting and expose shooter's posit Therefore,it is significant to study the muzzle noise and smoke testing system.In this paper,under the support of virtual instrument technology,aiming at the muzzle noise level and muzzle smoke transmittance,a set of muzzle noise and smoke testing system is designed by researching and analysising the test methods for muzzle noise and smoke deeply.The designed test system in this paper mainly consists of muzzle noise test subsystem and muzzle smoke test subsystem.The hardware platform uses high speed MCU as the core controller,working in with high speed ADC,high speed SRAM and USB communication interface module.In the aspect of system control software,functions of AD conversion,sampling rate control and USB communication are realized.The PC terminal software realizes the control and data processing of the test system based on the virtual instrument,including data frame analysis,frequency weighting,sound pressure level calculation and smoke diffusion state judgment and generating test reports etc.The integrity and effectiveness of each module of the test system are verified by simulation and experiment.The experimental results show that the muzzle noise test subsystem's accuracy of measuring peak sound pressure level can reach ±1.0dB,and the muzzle smoke test subsystem can test the amount of the muzzle smoke effectively and the resolution of the transmittance is less than 0.5%.The muzzle noise and smoke test system designed in this paper has advantages of high reliability,good human-machine interaction,low cost and so on.It has a considerable application prospect.
