Experimental teaching plays a significant role in technical higher education, especially in practical majors such as Electrical and Electronic. Under the situation of augmentation of the enrollment scale of higher education, laboratories of colleges and universities require a large number of diverse test instruments. However, the amount of investment is huge for the experimental instruments, the updating of equipment and technology is faster, the maintenance is difficulties, it lead to a desperate shortage of test instruments. Virtual instrument technology is a new mode of the instrument produced by the combination of computer technology and electronic instruments. The mode of the instrument not only has brought a revolutionary innovation, at the same time, it is also increasingly being favored by the laboratories in Colleges and universities base on its excellent performance to price ratio. The application of virtual instrument can greatly reduce the money of laboratory renovation, construction and maintenance, time and space cost, improve efficiency of utilization. It can provide more High-grade low-cost instruments for the students. Through the software improvement and perfection, it can continue to expand the experiment content, change and improve the experimental means, improve the quality of experimental teaching.This paper introduces significance of the application of virtual instrument technology in Electrical and Electronic laboratory construction and experiment teaching, analyzes the software design process and the debugging result of virtual oscilloscope, virtual signal generator, digital circuit experiment teaching platform based on LabVIEW. Design of virtual oscilloscope and virtual function signal generator system, mainly describes the hardware composition, and analyzes the software program design, the module program debugging and its results. The virtual digital circuit experiment teaching platform mainly includes the design of man-machine interface and four experimental projects, include the hardware circuit design and analysis of the3-8priority encoder, full adder, JK flip-flop, BCD seven segment display decoder, the design process of software of the four experimental circuit. At the same time, the test results of the four experiment circuit are given.The application of virtual instrument in Experiment Teaching of University is in the exploring stage at present, but the significant economy and practicality has shown its great advantage and potential. With the emergence and development of virtual instrument, it will bring new experimental methods promote the education mode change.
