Research On Regionalization Of Major Function In Fujian Province

In this thesis, Major functional regionalization refers to the process of dividing a certain study area into various major functional regions according to the regional distribution analysis of resources and environmental carrying capacity, present development intensity and future development potential, aslo considering the distribution of population and economic, land use and urbanization in the future. The main aim of Major functional regionalization is to lay a scientific foundation for promoting the harmonious interrelations among population and nature, coordinating regional development, aslo will be the base of decision-making for spatial government and regional balanced development.The research takes Fujian province as a case study based on the cell of the county or county level city , attempts to establish the index system to evaluate the major suitable development function of Fujian, and evaluates from three aspects to discover the regional distribution, concretely including the capacity ability of resources and environment, the present development intensity and the potential of further development. Then putting forward the principles and standards of functional regionalization, it divides Fujian into four kinds of major functional regions, including optimal development region, important development region, restrictive development region and prohibited development region, which is based on the applicationof matrix classify and GIS, and by revising regional major function. Finally, the essential features and development directions of every major functional regions are illustrated. Then the paper proposes the policy guarantee of management at different regions. The achievementation of the study will provide a scientific basis for the work such as adjustment of spatial government, suppling strategic guidance to implement different regional policy and planning the coordinative sustainable development as a whole in Fujian province.
