In order to get more information of the partial discharge signal in the high-voltage powercable in the propagation characteristics, the paper use experiment and simulation method toanalyzethe transmission characteristics ofthePD signalsin cables.Based on the original model of a single cable discharge model, further design a set of 110kV XLPE cable accessories typical discharge model. Advised to take heed of running cableinsulation breakdown of the actual situation, the system set up a cavity discharge, sliddingdischarge, floatingdischarge and protrusion dischargePDmodel. Inthis paper, anotherXFDTDsoftware through the establishment of a single-phase high voltage power cables and three-phasecrossover cable systems interconnection model, a simulation in which the discharge signaltransmission general laws, including the signal and signal attenuation of the polarity ofdiscrimination; The results of simulation and experiment show that: rely on the waveformpolarity to judge the location of partial discharge signal can not be achieved. The calculationerror of the XFDTD software is absolutely satisfied with the engineering requirement, so that itcan be used onthesimulationofthe field-work cables.
