Web-Based GMDSS System Design And Implmentation

With the popularization of shipping automation and the widely used network technologies in the shipping automation,the marine ship simulation training system will become more perfect.The simulation training software which based on network can inspect any computer in LAN(local area network),then feed back and control the information from it.The system could help professionals managing more computer equipments under the same condition.In that case,we could save the human resources and reduce cost and expenditure.At the same time,there will be massive amount of data which need be dealt with to fulfill the need of the simulation system.The server sends data and instructions to the client which connected to the same LAN or WAN(Wide Area Network),then the client makes some responses when it receives the information,such as operation logs and alarm messages,then writes the data back to the database of the server while should do some processing to achieve the intelligent inspect.This article has developed the GMDSS simulation software based on LAN, It has simulated 14 kinds of equipment as well as the electronic chart in the GMDSS system,and established the instructor workpalce(shore station) and the trainee workplace (ship station).It can achieve the goal of daily correspondence and distress transmission between the ship and the coast station,as well as between the ships.In addition,the instructor software has the functions of designing exercises,inspecting the communication of the students,receiving all the record of communications and taking the gauge of the operation of the student etc.This thesis presents the development of the GMDSS simulation software based on LAN. It gives a detailed explanation as follows: first, the function and system composition of GMDSS have been discussed. Then, according to software engineering's thought, the detailed demand analysis, the design and the code of the software have been made.Later, the thesis introduced in detail during the programming process involves key technologies-network communication technology, multi-thread technology, voice communication, network concurrent control and so on. At the final part, the simulation software realization and function are described, and the operation procedure of this system has been given.
