| With the development of communication technology, the control system needs more abroad data exchange. There is also an exigent requirement for opening of the control system. We always expect that there will be a standard that can improve the interoperability and collaboration between different devices manufactured by different vendors, but the interoperability and collaboration are in a dilemma which results from the device manufactures for a long time.Coming forth of OPC technology based on COM/DCOM, which provides a new standard for the data communication of industrial control, the integration of heterogeneous systems and the construction of the multilayer software system, provides a new approach to eliminate the dilemma. Software and hardware can communicate expediently via OPC, and consequently realize the flexible data configuration and genuine system integration.Firstly, the author gives a brief introduction to the intelligent building and the system integration of intelligent building; secondly, the author explains the essence of OPC and reasonably analyses the mechanism of OPCDA. The author also discusses the methods how to realize and test client and server. In this paper, the author designs an OPCClient and an OPCServer which are in accord with standard by Delphi 7.0. As the case, the author designs the BMS based on OPC and gives the intact realization of FAS OPCServer.The study shows that OPC not only improves the interoperability of intelligent systems in building but also simplifies the environment of system integration. In addition, system integration by OPC can extend function and makes the system more opening. OPC brings us a new way of system integration of intelligent building. |
