The system of P&R has been established for many years abroad, which led to much experience. Some predecessors have studied deeply on the P&R form various perspectives such as politics, management, facility, action or effect. And rich achievements have been gained. However, there are barely research on the relationship between the P&R and land use to be seen although it is imperative.This paper attempted to study on the relationship on the theory of P&R and urban traffic as well as urban traffic and land use theory. At the same time, in term of the urban traffic and land use, it focus on the evolution law of spatial structure and the layout pattern, the layout pattern of urban public transport corridor, then summarized the common mode for the P&R facility layout. Base on them, based on which it proposes six basic factors of P&R facility layout.Perceived four type of transit metropolis which stated by Robert Cervero as the objection, the author selected four typical cities for Nouth America, European and East of Asia to analyze the land using, traffic policy, spatial structure, population and employment distribution. Combined with the relationship between the P&R and land use and the six factors referred above, this paper focus on the layout pattern of the transit metropolis P&R and conclude their characteristics finally.
