An Approach To The Design Mode Of The Quality-Oriented Primary Schools

The Rural Education, which is the basic education to improve the quality of Overall Education, has been paid much attention than before as the definite strategic position of rural education in the overall education was made explicit. There are a large number of rural schools with poor conditions, which influences our economic development and the overall building of a well-off society. In addition, the old designs of the school buildings are not suitable for the requirements of new teaching concepts and quality-oriented Education which impedes the development of students' creativity. Therefore, the design of the Primary school buildings should provide as much "value" as possible, which originates from students' studying environment and their growth, to the students under the condition that the basic functions of the school buildings are fulfilled. In a word, the design of school buildings is not only the facility construction, but also the creation of a new suitable studying environment. Only in this way do the buildings meet the demands of the new teaching mode.The differences between the quality-oriented education in rural and urban areas and the particularity of the rural education are first discussed at the beginning of the paper. The issue of how to develop the quality-oriented education in rural areas is further analyzed through the case study of the education concepts of Xing Zhi primary school in Nanjing. The author examines the present situations of more than ten primary schools in Yulin area and summarizes the characters of the these schools. A comparison was made later between the excellent designs of schoolyards in and abroad and these rural primary schools to find out the short in the designs of these rural primary schools and draw some inspirations for the design of these rural primary schools in Yulin area.
