| The development process and characteristic about modern architecture in Xiangtan City during the period from 1949 to 1985 had been researched in this thesis, which involved two levels, firstly, tring to exhibit the developing pocess of Xiangtan architecture clearly, secondly, extending to analyses its protection,reuse,historical background and evaluation. All the researches helped to understand Xiangtan architecture better from broader ranges of time and space. Combining some representative examples of this architecture, this thesis discussed the development, the value system and the recycle of Xiangtan modern architecture. The following main work was done in this thesis:1. It pointed out the category of Xiangtan modern architecture's time and region, then ploted out five periods of the development about Xiangtan modern architecture. Basing on the investigation and synthesizing induce about the architecture examples, Some features of Xiangtan modern architecture had been illuminiated, which provided the base to research the recycle of Xiangtan modern architecture.2. It discussed the value system of Xiangtan modern architecture from different facets such as composition, conversion, exhibition and exploitation of the value. Then it discussed the principle and methods of the recycle about historical architecture, and outlined the current expression about the recycle of Xiangtan modern architecture from some typical examples.3. Basing on the analysis of the social politics and economical background influencing the development of modern architecture, this thesis evaluated the results of Xiangtan modern architecture's features using historical developing and realistic points, and got the thoughts of inheriting and developing the modern architecture's features under the new era.From the process of Xiangtan modern architecture's developing, the evolution and transformation of many sides such as new Chinese politics,economy,culture and life were all reflected. The architecture wrote down our social change from many visual angles and orientations. It was wished that this thesis could offer some useful reference in designing regional architecture works in Xiangtan. |
