Range hood is a kitchen product that is used by thousands of families. With the fierce competition recent years,many of the home appliance maker which are in the line of TV,air-conditioner and so on are just entering into the kitchen system appliance making. They want to share the last cake of the home appliance market and lead the industry to a much lower margin situation. Range hood is a product with a simple structure. The feature decided the industry's lower entering barrier, did not need high technology requirement. Although there are some large- scale manufacturers,most factories do not have any equipment and machines but the screw driver.The assemble line of range hood making is just a line that need labor not machines. Cost of range hood is mainly on raw material fees and labor wages. Outsourcing raw material is one kind of cost that can not be controlled by enterprise. Cutting down cost and improving efficiency is a way to be successful in the market.The assemble line of Rinnai is a simple line just for one product manufacturing. Before improving,its efficiency is 81% in static situation,and the running efficiency is 70%. The real output of every shift are 136 sets. The improving goal is to promote 20%-25% comparing with 81% and 70% separately in static and running situation on the basis of cutting down 10% cost relatively. Because the rate before adjusting is not in a poor condition and the goal set 20-25% rising present as well as 10% cost down relatively are not easy to fulfill. If just balanced the station numbers or the key station's time only,we would not reach the target. We must optimize both of them and solved the running balance problem.This passage put forward a way creatively to solve the problem. It eyes on system solution. It analyzes the problem from three levels,macro,macro-micro and micro.The passage checked the least numbers of work station,which are necessary for organizing manufacturing. The checking described the assemble line before improving whether or not is running at the lowest cost. It is necessary that analysis the problem both from cost and efficiency.The macro-micro level is a connection between macro and micro level. In the level,we use"running analysis method"to test the possibility of reaching the goal on the condition of initial least work station. The level aims on that if we found the initially least work station numbles could not hit the goal after running analysis,we would add the suitable new work station before the work study.The micro level adopts work study to research specific key work station contents. The work study's purpose is to short the key work station's time and balance the line in an optimized condition.The paper also adopted a way of continuously improving cycle,which optimized the key work station by turn. We also take advantage of management theories,as TQM,5S,KANBN to promote the effiency when the line is working. The purpose is to reduce the wasting-time caused by out-of work equipments,waiting for parts etc.Finally after improving,we achieved the target and reached 96.6% rate and 90% rate in static and running time separately. The final output reached 210 sets for every shift. The conclusion indicates that the system solution method is a practicable and useful way to reach the goal.
