Study On Old City Regeneration Of Chencun Town In Shunde

City is a complicated organism. With the progress of society,city has the process of origination, transformation and decline of his own. Tracing the history of the cities, development,the whole process is a continual process of Regeneration ,redevelopment and metabolism. In the now a day industrialization time and information time, City Regeneration has become one of the topics on city development of the world. Old city Regeneration is an indispensable link in the urban development. Within these years,along with market economy system processing,large-scale redevelopment has gradually become the primary mode of old city Regeneration. Now urban renovation and conservation has become the hottest topic in urban plan and city construction research. Under the effects such as basic needs of living,the will of administration officer and the interest driven by the developers,urban conservation come to be a huge"movement",or we can say a general trend of social and urban development. It concerns many aspects and levels of our society. The problem of urban Regeneration at town is also outstanding with the rapid process of urbanization in China.The paper was based on The Overall Plan for The Area of ChenCun Town. Through analyzing the specific problems facing the Regeneration of ChenCun town,the paper discussed the cause of its formation and possible ways to solve those problems,pertinently proposed relevant countermeasures and methods which can provide valid approaches as example to the further practice of old city Regeneration in other city. Firstly,the paper started with the analysis of the theories and practices of old city Regeneration in western country and China,summarized the deve1opment experience of old city Regeneration in domestic and abroad to provide theoretic and practical references to ChenCun town. secondly,with the development history of ChenCun town Regeneration as the background, the paper summed up current information of ChenCun town and then classified them. On the basis of this,the paper analyzed not only the Predominant resources but also the distinct contradictions in detail,which resources are deserved to be preserved and developed, as the contradiction may counteracted the city development. At last, according to these subjects, the paper explored some effective approaches and put forward the general countermeasures.
