With the constant development of the financial sector,and IC smart cards are already integrated into the mainstream of today's information technology,more and more people begin to accept and use IC cards.According to the difference condition of application,there are two types of the traditional IC card reader machines:desktop IC card reader machines and IC card handheld POS machines. The technology of combining,wireless LAN,embedded systems and biometric identification,being applied to IC card handheld POS machines,is a good way. Therefore,we propose the design of contactless IC card wireless handheld POS terminals based on architecture of ARM+DSP.Firstly,the article introduces the ARM+DSP embedded system,fingerprint recognition technology and wireless data-transmission technology,and proposes the connection scheme of the ARM and DSP based on architecture of ARM+DSP. Finally,the article provides the overall structure frame of the system,including the hardware and software.The hardware is made up of two subsystems,ARM and DSP,and regards LPC2210 and TMS320VC54025 as the core,including their memory and peripheral equipment respectively.The part of hardware explains communication method of ARM and DSP through HPI and design of the interface circuit of the peripheral hardware of the top management processor LPC2210.The software describes the main point of replantation of embeddedμC/OS-Ⅱ, the task designing,drive program designing etc...The part of software describes the design process of LCD task,Keyboard task and IC card task based onμC/OS-Ⅱplatform,including driver code respectively.This research has achieved gratifying results up till now,and the IC card handheld POS machine has some basic functions.
