The quality of medical service is an important factor for patients to get satisfaction and get high-quality service. However, many problems still exist in the process of which patients come to see a doctor. Firstly, the phenomenon of "ticket scalper" is extremely serious leading to patients are difficult to register a number. And when patients select a doctor blindly, there exists registering the wrong number and choosing the wrong department so that patients have to register a number again, causing a needless waste. The phenomenon of "often queue and queue length" of patients cannot be improved, most of the time in the queue but the treatment time is very short. To solve these problems above, a medical service system based on wireless sensor network and fingerprint identification technology was designed.Medical service system was mainly composed of the bottom ZigBee wireless sensor network, the GSM short message reminding module and the host computer system. The bottom ZigBee wireless sensor network was mainly designed by ZigBee technology and fingerprint identification technology. Based on non-replicability and uniqueness of fingerprint, using fingerprint identification node validated patients’ identities in order to avoid "ticket scalper". At the same time system used the mobility of ZigBee technology designing for fingerprint identification movable registration node was convenient for disabled patient, and the nurse with fingerprint identification movable registration node was convenient for patients who didn’t need to queue up to the window. If it was a patient’s turn immediately, wireless communication module TC35 sended a short message to the patient via the GSM network in advance so as not to miss treatment. The host computer system’s function was divided into patients’ identity verification, medical evaluation, optimization of queue and so on.This paper achieved the host computer system, the hardware and software of medical service system based on wireless sensor network. System designed the hardware and software of fingerprint identification nodes, router and coordinator which adopt CC2530 wireless module as the core unit. The host computer system based on the MVC model and the B/S architecture which was combined with the database SQL Server2005, Web server Tomcat and the development framework which included Spring, Struts2 and Hibernate3 under the Windows operating system was designed. Using Matlab Builder JA established a queuing model M/M/C based on queuing theory, the scientific and quantitative way to analyze and optimize the phenomenon of queuing at the same time. Changing the length of patients’waiting time with the number of doctors in different configuration which the phenomenon was simulated and analyzed. And the system configured the optimal number of doctors in order to minimize the total costs of patients waiting and doctors service. Finally, the system was conducted to joint debugging and the system can avoid the phenomenon of "ticket scalper", give advices to patients when they see a doctor and reduce patients’waiting time effectively.
