Recently, along with electric power production enterprise's automation and information construction developing faster, all kinds of new temperature monitoring systems appear and play a important role in production. These new temperature monitoring systems, which inherit traditional systems's merits, pay attention to combine with new technology and practicality, so their functions are much more perfect, higher reliable and practical. This system acclimate the trend and is totally designed combining with electric station high voltage switch contacts's temperature monitoring. The important aspect is to achieve Real-time dependable alarm procession and convenient information service. Its final target is to offer well decision-making service and technological support. The system is made up of temperature measure and wireless transmitting module, main controlling module and net server module. Their functions are to accomplish data collection, analysis procession and net issuance etc. This paper is to accomplish main controlling module's design.The controlling module based on Visual C++ language is designed. A lot of technology, such as GIS, serial commotion, GSM SMS, VC++ graphical interfaces programming and SQL database, is used in the paper. The main controlling module embeds GIS function in the system by using MapX control. This method breaks the traditional designing method and establishs a new thought. MapX integrates a majority of MapInfo Professional software's functions. The main controlling module achieves all kinds of functions, such as drawing electric map, editing feature information, handling map show, refreshing feature, doing temperature data special topic figure and bidirectional searching data. So, it provides a real intuitionistic main view interface and a high effective prompt acquiring information means and make the system use easily. The main controlling module achieves to manage serial port by using a common CSerial class, collect temperature data by establishing communication thread and enhance serial communication reliability by programming under making link and redelivering overtime mechanism. The main controlling module processes alarm according to third class priority alarm mechanism of exceeded temperature alarm, critical pre-alarm and fast temperature rising alarm. It put out alarm using all kinds of forms, such as, sound, focused show and SMS etc, which brings large convenience for manager. The main controlling module uses CJ601ib, which is a open-source code interface lib, to design interface. The lib's function is strong and used easily, through which it is simple to create all kinds of docking form and manage menu. The main controlling modal makes the best of these features of CJ601ib and solves some existent problem to improving the system's stability. The main controlling module uses SQL2000 as background database server, uses all kinds of tools provided by it to establish and set system database and uses SQL sentence to access to database.
