Nowadays, a big amount of cement pavements are in need of maintaining, which means that it's necessary to research and develop a full set of economic and simple preventive pavement maintenance method. Micro-Surfacing Technology is a economic and environment-friendly method. The technology has many strong points. It is simple in construction application with short construction time, and effective in elimination of rut, while possessing the strongpoint of energy-saving and long duration. There are also weak points, however, in the technology: there are few kinds of emulsified asphalt to choose from while construction and the Micro-Surfacing Technology itself are from mature. Thus, the MST are now not widely accepted by the owner of the cement pavements.The renovation of this paper lies in that it endeavors to bring in water-epoxy resin emulsified asphalt, which no one has tried before in the field. HEREA is a kind of stable resin which are acquire in the following method: the epoxy resin are dispersed in the form of particles or droplet and using water as a dispersion medium.The material is a kind of hydrophilic macromoleclar polymer, which are low in voc content and harmless. The material are also simple in application, water cleanable and environment-friendly, as well as possessing the characteristics of high solid content, low stickiness and higg adhesive property.Base on the existing problem and current situation of the emulsified asphalt technology research and Micro-Surfacing Technology research, this paper discussed several aspects of the field as follows:1. The manufacture of brand-new emulsified asphalt polymer: add water-epoxy resin emulsion in emulsified asphalt manufacture process, by the application of advanced asphalt Emulsion automation equipment and high-speed shearing equipmen, in order to better the emulsion's adhesive property, low temperature property and high temperature property.2. A study of the emulsification and modification mechanism of emulsified asphalt, and the impact of different type of emulsifier; A study of the manufacturing emulsion technique of emulsified asphalt emulsion and the impact of the main technical conditions.3. An analysis of the emulsion storage stability, and an assessment of the impact of the dosage and type of emulsifier over the emulsified asphalt in terms of stability and other properties, as well as providing effective improvement method; an analysis and assessment of the evaporation residues in order to carry out the research in the improvement of pavement performance property of the emulsified asphalt.4 . A discuss of different micro-surfacing materials and their technical specifications. A research of micro-surfacing designs, in terms of the micro-surfacing asphalt dosage and the influencing factors of the mixture's pavement performance property.5. An study on the evaluation method and influencing factors of analysis of emulsified asphalt micro-surfacing pavement application property. Micro-surfacing is a fragile system. It differs greatly due to the variation of temperature, humidity level, and material property, so the outcome of the micro-surfacing experimental study differs from place to place. Taking the typical high temperature and high humidity level climate conditions in south China into consideration, the author tries to add various filling materials, such as cement, which can prolong the mixing time, as well as shorten the construction time of the pavements.
