Abstract/Summary:
With the fast development of economy and urbanization, the trip demands has been increased sharply which calls for a multi-functional and complicated passenger transport system. Urban rail transit has gradually become an indivisible part of the system because of its high frequency, high efficiency and large capacity. As a powerful junctions, urban rail transit hub always focus on the tasks of passenger organization and servicing which are the core parameters evaluating the hub's capacity and modernization of urban transport system. Passengers play a key role in the hub's routine operation whose activities are closely related with safety, fluency and high performance of passenger-flows' aggregation and evacuation. Thus it will become the critical step to do some research on the pedestrians' micro-traffic and the relevant organization plan in the process of capacity enhancement. Currently, the relevant work has done much in mathematics' method, computer simulation which has reached good results. However, it cannot explain all the pedestrian's phenomena perfectly because of the subjectivity and randomness of human's characteristics, which narrows its scope for practical use. Therefore, with reference to environment psychology and ergonomics, the author introduces "EPB" mode into this thesis to modifying the shortcomings in application of different methodologies. Using this mode, the paper engages in the research of pedestrian's traffic mechanics to make sure the following analyses on the passenger-flows organization meet the reality better and gives more fundamental evidences to support the theory. Then, based on these analyses and taking the space-time characteristics of hubs into consideration, the paper does some discussion on the flows and optimized organization plan in the specific environment and establishes a framework of passenger-flows' organization planning. Then it raises the north hall of Xizhimen Hub and Beijing South Railway Hub as examples, analyzing the environmental layout and optimization of organization plan. At the end, it draws a conclusion and raises some urgent issues needing further research, all of which accelerate the pedestrian research in urban rail transit hubs.
