Along with the society economy and the development of science and technology, the world population is changing, and the aging population has become the major concerns all over the world. In this situation China is also at the stage of "old age mould". How to make old people to enjoy their life with good health is a social problem need to be solved. According to our national conditions, Aging Problem Committee of China offers the system for the old people's resident. To the aged people, housing is the place to settle down, where they can keep themselves out of wind and rain, where they can be provided the space to have rest, meal, entertainment, and diversion. But housing is not enough especially for the retired one, who have large amount of time allocated by oneself, communication among the outside society should be encouraged, therefore a good parks' leisure activities space is important here. Under such circumstances, the research of parks' leisure activities place suitable for the aged is more and more significant. In order to provides to the senior citizen comfortable, the security and the safeguard, the parks' leisure activities space is easy to understand as well as meets one another with other people with the exchange opportunity more and more is becoming the old age people to use the outdoors space the important goal. This paper is a research on plan and design of park for the agings. On the basis of the specially demands of the aged people in the aspect of physical, psychological, and behavior characteristics, taking the parks in Shi Jiazhuang for example, some typical parks are investigated with questionnaire, photographing and visitation. According to investigation and analysis conditions of aged people's activities in parks, some conclusions are drew, such as why the aged people come to parks, rules of the aged people's activities, scopes of the aged people's activities, behavior characteristics of the aged people's activities. By analyzing and investigating environment conditions of leisure space, service facilities conditions, virescence conditions, security of the aged people in parks of different types. So the thumbprints and commonnesses of the leisure space in parks of Shi Jiazhuang are known. And some common problems are found out. Finally, the park design guidelines including design principles and design proposals are put forward. The design principles include be convenient to arrive, functionality, reparation, security, identification, communion. The park design proposals include the main points of planning and design in parks of different types,the ground of leisure space in parks, service facilities, plant landscape and so on. A design method is put forward, which not only meet the demands of common residents' recreation, but also embodies the thought for the aged people, in order to put forward some reference about the parks' planning and design caring for the aged people.
