With the development of China's economic, the demand for electricity is rapidly increasing, and the scale of equipment in power grid is also growing.As the distance of transmission line is very long, the climate change is very severe in where equipment belong, the distribution of equipment is discrete,and topography which transmission line across is very complex, to carry out daily inspections for transmission equipment and transmission lines is not only inefficient but also difficult. In view of this, establish a transmission equipment status visualization system plays an important role in the daily supervision of power grid, fault detection, security etc.At home and abroad, the research on power visualization system began in 1990s. There are many achievements on it, and some of them are put into practical application. In view of these power visualization systems, on the one hand, most of them are based on OpenGL, Direct3D, and other graphics platform, it's difficult to expand, hardly to cross platform. On the other hand,it is aimed at the real-time display for different indicators of different equipment, although this kind of design can clearly show all kinds of indicators, however, it is difficult to analyze the data and compare the data.Therefore, starting from the data itself, this paper puts forward a series of visualization methods for the characteristics of the data, wish to embody the characteristics and information contained in the data.Firstly, the significance of the topic and the related technical background is introduced. Then, based on the characteristics of the data, the functional requirements and non-functional requirements are analyzed. On the basis of the requirement analysis, and summarize the shortcomings of implementation ways for the existing grid visualization, this paper puts forward that based on Web platform, using SVG and Canvas technology to implement visualization,and design the visualization system's framework. This paper realizes text visualization based on word frequency statistics. And expounds the implementation of keyword extraction and text layout algorithm. Also, the efficiency and effectiveness of the layout of the algorithm is evaluated. Two kinds of methods, parallel coordinates and scatter matrix, are used to realize multidimensional data visualization. To resolve the data display problems caused by data size, optimization schemes like edge binding, brushing,dimension exchange, etc, are given. Multiple views are combined to display geographical data and related statistical data, which includes point map, chord graph, scatter diagrams, etc. And each view can collaborate with others using interaction, which enhance the visual effect.
