Along with the rapid development of science technology and the mature of chemical technology, corona surface treatment technology of plastic film has gaining more and more used in the fields of printing, packaging, etc. After corona treatment, the roughness and wet characteristic of the film surface has been improved greatly. It enhanced the material surface attachment and adhesion, which is beneficial for ink printing on the film surface and plastic film adhesion.This paper firstly introduce the basic concepts of the corona and related contents, the load characteristics of dielectric barrier discharge and equivalent model, the corresponding analysis and various factors which impact Corona Treatment, discussing the principle of plastic film's corona surface treatment and equipment structure, sum up the control theory of several common corona in the current market.Secondly, the pulse high voltage power supply is the core of corona treatment. The designed power uses the method of Controllable Rectification and phase-shifted control combination to achieve continuous adjusting amplitude and width of output pulse. After fully comparison of different control methods, perceptual phase shift PWM soft-switching technology is chosen to reduce the switching losses, decrease the power volume and realize the continuous adjustable of the output voltage and frequency.Thirdly, the reasonability of power devices and switch transistor design directly impact the overall efficiency and reliability. Through the calculation and experiment, selecting the appropriate SCR, IGBT, etc, the design and production process of the power transformers is described in detail. The loss of the main device is discussed.Finally, specific power waveform and the experimental data are supplied by experiment.The innovation of this paper is to provide corona processor with two different control methods, which are phase shifters and soft-switch technology. Reasonable transformer production has the advantages of wide application, small size, high efficiency, reliability, low cost and simple operation, etc. With the pace to accelerate social progress, plastic will become more and more used, demand for corona processors will increase continuously and has highly market perspective.
