Pressurizer water level control system of Daya bay nuclear power station is composed of 15 nuclear grade boards, may exist potential dangers of aging and fault because of long-term use. To assure the system running safely and stably, certain company produced all boards of this system independently to replace the aging boards.This paper has developed an automatic test system which can test whether the accuracy and performance of the boards produced by company can meet the application requirement of nuclear station, by adopting advanced technology of PXI virtual instruments, automatic control theory and mathematic simulation model.This paper introduces hardware design of test system from four aspects, including selection of PXI hardware system, design of signal conditioning adapter, GPIB control of Agilent DC Power Supply and realization of remote control terminal.This paper completes software design of one board test and Pressurizer water level control system test by using programming environment of LabVIEW. According to different functions, the software is divided into several modules, which are designed and introduced respectively.This automatic test system owns fast measurement speed, high testing precision and convenient human-machine interface, provides real time test and control for water level control system and precision test or dynamic test for its boards, it also provides function of fault diagnosis and alarm, can help to ensure the performance and precision of boards and long term steady-going running of nuclear power station.
