With the development of science and technology and the improvement of people’s living standard, people have higher requirements for cars, especially for driving comfort, safety and stability, in order to meet people’s requirements, electronic control systems are used in the automotive field. With the development of automobile electronic control systems, automotive electronic control systems is becoming more and more complex, in order to ensure its stability, electronic control unit require detailed tests, but in the face of increasingly complex electronic control systems, how to quickly and accurately test electronic control unit become key problems to be solved. In order to effectively address the functional and performance testing of electronic control unit, an automated test systems based on the virtual instrument technology is designed and developed, with electronic control unit as the object to be measured.The main contents and innovative achievements are as follows:1. Through the analysis of automobile body electronic module, we understand about the body electronics modules’ structure, function and test requirements in detail. After studying the system requirement analysis of the body electronic control system of a domestic automobile,The scheme of the automated test system is determined. The automated test scripts use EXCEL file instead of VI, by this method, it can improve the versatility and portability of the automated test systems.2. According to the test requirements, a test rack, test bench and automatic fault injection unit is designed. After the study of the principle of each functional module of the automated test systems, the test system software development by Lab VIEW is completed.3. After completing the automation testing system for building and debugging, we have practical applications. It has proved that the automated test system can quickly and accurately complete the electronic control unit’s test through the practical application, and the automation test system has strong universality, expansibility, flexible configuration, it also improves the test efficiency.
