It is very important for tribology in preparing energy-saved materials and discussing their corresponding properties. Meanwhile, the scientific and reliable tribological test technology and analysis method must be constructed and employed since tribology is a complex system, which depends on many factors Therefore, the technology of tribological testing (TTT) is considered as an significant and basic component in tribology.The potential applications of TTT are wide, changing from live application test to laboratory virtual test, and the latter is primary now. Because of the systemic features of tribologiy, the capturing and processing related signals of tribological test equipments with real-time, accurate and rapid, is increasingly vital during operating tribological test devices which are all network-controlled accurately and intelligently. Accordinlgy, constructing an effective tribological laboratory constituted by virtual testing intelligent measurement and control system and realize the network-rization and remote control of system is necessary by means of electronic communication technology, modern measurement and control technology and the software and hardware resource of computer, which is very important in both practical triblogy and theoretical tribology.The aim of this paper is to firstly set the ring & block friction and wear tester by virtue of the signal transmitting technology generally involved in laboratorial tribological test machine, the asynchronous motor rotation rate control and Virtual Instruments long-distance measurement and control problem, and then analyze the related theory, establish hardware system about program control and remote network data acquisition, develop related software, finally discuss about computer-aid tribological test technology based on Virtual Instruments.The main results and innovations are as follows:(1) A hardware part of real time test system is established by virtue of virtual instrument technology based on the motion features of ring block friction and wear tester. Meanwhile, the problems about the interface connecting data acquisition card and computer are also discussed detailed.(2) A stable, realibe and friendly tribological test software system based on Virtual Instruments is developed based on graphical programming language LabVIEW as software core, which can realize real time measurement of testing parametric, dynamic display, data analysis and process, creating and printing experiment report; (3) The design of computer control system of transducer, integrated the motor automatic control system with data acquisition system in one computer system is studied based on tribology tests. Among the system, the motor rotation rate can be changed linearly, providing widely speed choice for tribological experiments.(4) The long-distance wireless supervisory control of equipment state and the test program is discussed and a core technology system of network-rization Virtual Instrument is built, which provides a good solution for the data release, long-distance supervisory and control, wireless transmission etc.
