Our country ia a civilized country with 5000 years history, The solid historical process give us numerous valuable cultural heritage. But in the economic wave and the impact of globalization, Local characteristics of the Chinese nation is gradually fading. The national memory we have is losting, the urban culture we have owned are disappearing. Some of our children have only remember the"Tom and Jery"and"Comics"――There are definitely generation in our culture……Clearly we are faced with the crisis of the protection of the cultural heritage. To properly protect our cultural heritage for future generations, and take appropriate methods to protection, restoration and vitality of the cultural heritage of innovation and cohesion in the current era is our responsibility, as well as the main thrust of this writing. The intangible cultural heritage protection is a multidisciplinary participation research proposition. The papers integrated use urban planning studies, economics, sociology, typologies and other relevant knowledge, and through the examples of Xinjiang, noted the protection methods and strategies, and eventually achieve the restoration of urban memory.The Paper is divided into five parts:Part I: prolegomenaIntroduce the main inspiration for the selection of subjects, and definit related research concepts and theories used to guide the Institute.Part II: The intangible cultural heritage studies in XinjiangAwareness of the intangible cultural heritage: Based on the intangible cultural heritage formation and evolution studies, collated the features, composition and value of the intangible cultural heritage, and analys the economic and social survival of their current state. Part III: protection methods and principles on the intangible cultural heritage in XinjiangIn the guidelines of the protection principles and purposes, noted three protection methods on the intangible cultural heritage: overt protection, hidden protection and development of the protection.Part IV: the intangible cultural heritage protection strategy in Xinjiang Specific examples of Xinjiang for the protection of non-material cultural heritage strategy. Protection measures and the protection of the relevant measures.Finally: The summary of the paper, and noted inadequate studies of the pater, as well as the future directions.
