Research On County Construction Safety Supervision Management

The management and supervision for construction safety is the key for safe production in construction industry, which is conducted by the construction safety supervising government system. The fundamental part of this system, the county construction quality & safety supervision center, has its particular importance for the system. However, this function is not completed yet due to immature management, operation structure and other limits. Research is necessary to be done on that topic.In this paper, the author summarizes the organizational structure, work flow, safety supervising principles and onsite implementation of Guanghan county construction quality and safety supervision center. Based on the analysis of the dysfunction and failures happened in the supervising process and internal center management, the new management methods are recommended to improve the situation and provide better tools for county level construction supervision management.The research shows the most county-level management for safe construction production is poor and it still needs more input and attention. The county construction supervision centers should modify current safety supervision structure, improve the management and operation, and reduce the potential loss.
