The evaluation of materiel maintenance support concept is a very important and efficient means of decision supported, which can form materiel maintenance support ability and realize materiel maintenance support objective. Maintenance support evaluation in the materiel's total life cycle can affect the design of materiel and efficiently advance the materiel's supportability. So we can greatly improve the operational readiness and make the life cycle cost(LCC) achieve the best state.At present, the research in materiel maintenance support concept only refer to the common step and basic content. Few research and application deal with the materiel maintenance support concept's establishment and method of optimization. Maintenance support concept's establishment and optimization is an important base of forming the materiel maintenance support ability. So the researching the evaluation method of materiel maintenance support concept design is very important.On the base of the basic steps of the materiel maintenance support concept's establishment and optimization, this paper researches the maintenance support concept models' optimization and evaluation. The gist of optimization and evaluation is the common program of concept evaluation and measure analysis. The idiographic content is:Firstly, we confirmed the objective function of maintenance support concept evaluation and amply analysed three interrelated factors of the life cycle, which affects the forming of the materiel maintenance support ability. Decision variables can represent the main factors. Then we establish the models related to objective function.Secondly, using dynamic programming (DP), we analysed the optimization models according to the main phases of materiel cycle cost. According to analysis result, we get the decision rules. After confirming the maintenance support concept, the backup materiels become key factors which affect the cost and operational readiness. So we discussed the preservation of backup materiels, and an optimization preservation model.Finally, we give a demonstration about aero-electric system maintenance support concept. We carried out the program and got the result. The result shows that our research has fact value in maintenance support concept evaluation.
