The Space Analysis Of Livable Beijing's Transportation Convenience

Transportation has always been the popular and important study object for the urban researchers. This article mainly studies the differential characteristics of transportation convenience against the background of Livable Beijing. which has not been studied yet by now in China.In this article, the subjective data of Beijing transportation convenience is mainly from social investigation, the objective data is from the Beijing numerical database, image of remote sensor, related map data & statistics data. Finally, with the Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis and Correlate Analysis by software SPSS; With GIS software mapinfo, the data & result of analysis which is externalized in space; and also with comprehensively subjective & objective analysis, the author got the corresponding suggestion and conclusion of Livable Beijing transportation construction.The results from the present investigation suggest as follows:First. The current transportation system is inadequate, on which improvement is needed especially on the streets beside Sanhuan and out of Wuhuan.Second. the present transportation status of Beijing is that the streets which are free from traffic jam and also with convenient transportation system are randomly located in the districts inside of Wuhuan. The streets which are in the disaster of traffic jam and without convenient transportation system are mainly packed between Sanhuan and Wuhuan in southern Beijing and in Tiantongyuan and Huilonguan residential districts. The streets inside Sanhuan( Sihuan of Northern Beijing and Erhuan of Southern Beijing) are mainly with traffic jam and convenient transportation system as well. Except for the areas along with subway, most citizens who live outside of Sihuan thinks that there are no serious traffic jam, but no convenient transportation system also. The transportation status of the streets along with subway is apparently better.Third. Beijing's public traffic system is set only according to different distance from the downtown center, and such traffic layout results in the serious inconvenience of public traffic.Forth. The public traffic requirement of the residents live around areas such as railway station where large population move around is not sufficiently focused on.Fifth. The public transition system is not so sufficient around subway, and such insufficient public traffic transition system decreases the utility efficiency of the public transportation source.Sixth. There is big transportation problem in large residential districts where many people live there but work in downtown center or CBD area, such mode result in heavy pressure in the transportation from these areas to CBD areas. Traffic improvement in such areas is a key topic of transportation research.Seventh. The traffic jam in Tian Tong Yuan area, Hui Long Guan area, the area between Northern Erhuan and Northern Sanhuan, The area between Southern Sanhuan in Fengtai District. and Southern Wuhuan area is very serious.
