The design has the status in the develop product process which links the preceding with the following, and is more important for design proposal choice and decision-making. The correct decision-making is based on the science appraisal, because the attribute of designs is difficult by quantify simply, consequently, it is a difficult problem that how to evaluate the design proposal scientifically in the process ofproduct development. In the current manufacture profession, regarding to the choice of design proposal, someone dependences on experiences; someone choose it in a democracy voting way; someone dependences on miraculous glows presently, which is similar to gambling; someone accept opinions broadly, but even more confuses when facing wide divided opinions.However, evaluation of a product design is by no means just what the appraiser like , different goal, different environment, different generation as well as the point of appraiser can influence the result.Through utilize the partial analysis method of psychology appraisal of design effect, introducing the theory of project quality control, deconstructing the knowledge structure of the flow of designs and the method of design, this thesis inquired and analyzed the relationship between counterparts of the project, and the respective goal as well as the quality of product itself. The thesis combine the author's practical experience and observing result of many important projects both at home and abroad, attempting researches and constructs a simple and convenient appraisal pattern, which enables each appraiser establishes corresponding evaluation standard based on their purpose and understand the design program as objectively and comprehensively as possible, thus achieved the goal of reducing the policy-making risks.Design appraisal model is an essential tool of the development of enterprise product strategy as well as the important link of design management, as for designer, it should have a positive reference meaning while their self- appraisal in the design process. I also hope this model can be helpful to the unprofessional understanding and appreciating design, then promote design knowledge.
