Research On The Planning Of Centralized-housing District For Farmers In Shanghai Suburb

This paper is one of the sub subjects of the reseach project , which was originated by Shanghai Municipal Housing, Land and Resource Administration Bureau in 2004.In order to save the land and improve the living condition, the government of Shanghai encourages the farmers to migrate to new town and new centralized-housing district. Compare with the past, building houses together is the new trend of rural dwelling construction now. Although the experiments of the centralized-housing district in Shanghai suburb have made a success since 2000, there are still some problems exists, such as the immoderate size of district, the monotony type of housing and the unorderly sequence of out space.By analyzing lots of the centralized-housing projects in Shanghai suburb and comparing with the standard of dwelling district in the downtown, this paper made a summarization of both the successful experience and existing problems., then tried to find out the suitable advice to help the further attempt.This paper consists of four sections: The first section recounts the development of centralized-housing district in Shanghai suburb. The second section is a short report of the field survey. The third section analyses the planning of centralized-housing district at all aspects, and put forward the countermeasure accordingly. The fourth section is the conclusion.
