Research Of Trial Pavement Section For The Orthotropic Deck Plate Of Runyang Yangtzi River Bridge

Lots of unformation has revealed that epoxy asphalt concrete is a superior surfacing materials for long-spanned steel bridge deck, as its excellent properties. Its strength, high temperature stability, fatigue resistance and durability is higher than other surfacing materials. Runyang Yangtze River Bridge is an important component of the national arterial highway. Epoxy asphalt concrete is applied to Runyang Yangtzi River Bridge. It is necessary to construct testing section for ordinary roadway, but it is critical to do some construction test to assuring its properties of epoxy asphalt concrete.Based on the former researches on the epoxy asphalt concrete, this thesis has been implemented research of testing section for the orthotropic deck plate of Runyang Yangtzt River Bridge by tield or on-site survey, experiment research and theoretic analysis.First of all, the characteristic of epoxy asphalt concrete and the research results of pavement steel deck are collected and surveyed, the aim of the research testing section have been analysed. The research contents and method of this thesis have been put forward. Secondly, the basic principle of testing section are proposed base on the character of epoxy asphalt and its paving experiences. The scheme of paving testing section is constituted from material, structure, construction machinery and management, etc. The third part of the thesis introduces construction program of testing section projects, and resesrch on construction method and organizational management. Quality control method of deck surfacing has been put forward. In the fourth part of the thesis, main performance of bonding coat, surfacing layer and composite structure is tested and evaluated. Design project of Yangtzi River Bridge deck surfacing is verified that it is feasible.At last,According to practices of testing sections, several factors of influencing performance have been analysed and summarized from epoxy asphalt concrete constructs point of view.Through research on testing section of Yangtze Bridge deck surfacing, this thesis has summarized construction method appling to Yangtze Bridge deck surfacing, has evaluated the design reliability.
