In this paper, in order to design the centralized control system in the vehicle engine, author studied ESA ignition data and EFI spout technology, found the relations between the ignition time, excessive air ratio and power performance, economical index, purified exhausting air capacity, adopted new control strategy with optimal parameters and plane mathematic model, and utilized the optimal data of the computer to improve the control precision in vehicle engine. The bus technology with vehicle-purposed was utilized to implement real-time communication between the engine control system and upper main computer so as to upload the measured data and download the control signals. System simulation in real-time also could implemented by the method. Meanwhile, the system can complete self-diagnosis, tolerance backup and environmental correction.The centralized control system in the vehicle engine includes upper main computer and lower computer, in which, the lower computer mounted in the vehicle could independently control the vehicle engine with the principal and subordinate ECU consisted of high speed DSP. The bus control interface designed in lower computer could upload relative measured data and download the program and control data so as to implement monitor and control in real-time.The upper main computer consisted of control and simulation software package, it could carry out on-line system simulation with received all kinds of operating data from the vehicle. While the simulation is over, the upper main computer could download MAP data with optimal characteristics to the control system in the vehicle engine.TSB43AA82A chip was applied to implement interface between the linkage layer and physical layer, it had higher communication efficiency with 1394 asynchronous transmitting mode.The experimental verifications show the designed control system can meet the requirement of air exhaust specified in the law, the effective power has been improve by 9%, oil-consumption has been reduced by 14.5%, its power performance and economical index are both better than that of the engine centralize control system in existence. Meanwhile, there still are other advantages such as general-purpose, monitor in real-time, redundant control ability and so on.
