| The public space inside urban residential blocks is an important part of urban public space system. It is the place where residents get along with their lives. Traditional residential block is a special type of urban residential block. The public space inside it has the common functions such as activity space, communicating space and green space. In addition, the character of it' s physical form such as texture, structure, place and sight, as well as the traditional living model give the public space special cultural value and the potential economic value. But in our country currently, the public space inside urban residential block also has many problems, for example, lack of activity space and public facilities, bad environmental quality, and so on. These problems have obstructed the improvement of people's living quality.Currently, the renewals of old cities in China are progressing abroad. Among them there are many projects about traditional residential blocks. If we follow right principles, adopt proper strategies and use smart techniques, rejecting negative aspects and holding positive aspects, we can realize the integrated values of public space inside traditional residential block, including social value, economic value, cultural value and ecological value. The major idea of this study is to educe principles, strategies and techniques of the renewal of public space inside residential block.There are five main chapter of the paper.In chapter one the theme of study renewal of public space inside traditional residential block, is brought forward. Then the related concepts are explained, the scope of the study is defined, and the research methods are also chosen. The second chapter lives traditional residential block and public survey research of the space present condition of the street furong-qushuiting street.The third chapter puts forward the traditional residential block space of the furong-qushuiting street of excellent turn integration priniple.In chapter four the discussions of public space form inside traditional residential blocks in furong-qushuiting street are discussed. Then the factors affecting the characters are analyzed.In chapter five the essence of the renewal in is analyzed. Then the principles of renewal, the choices of renewal model, the design methods of public space and the measures to insure success of renewal are brought forward. |
