The Witness Of The Early Interface Along The Bund

No. 17-19 on Fuzhou Road Building, the oldest existing building in Bund District, was originally built as the office of Russell & Co in the 1850s. The thesis did research on this special case from three aspects which are the research of its history, the analysis of the current problems and the strategy of the conservation and regeneration. Based on its status and heritage value, we suggested three strategies in regeneration on the basis of circumstances, and try to find the best way to resolve the problems of the historic buildings which left over by history.
