The study of the underwater wideband target emulator plays a very important role in improving the underwater acoustic system technology and verifying the performance of the underwater acoustic system. In this dissertation, a universal purpose underwater signal processing system is developed. Besides used as an target emulator, the system could be also used in acoustic measurement to analyze the signal spectrum, data register or as an signal generator. In this dissertation, several crucial subjects on developing this system are introduced, such as the impedance matching and power amplifier design, analog signal preprocessor design, signal sampling and processing design and so on. The main contents are as follows:1. The architecture of the acoustic signal processing system is deeply studied and some key problems which must be settled in the realization of the wide band target emulator are discussed in detail, such as the layout and the impedance matching of wideband transducer, the design of analog signal preprocessor with large dynamic range, the method of emulating the target echo and so on.2. The hardware structure of the system based on TMS320VC5409A and PCI9054 is completely presented, mainly contain the interface design between the DSP and PCI bus, the design of the logic circuit and etc. CCS 2.2, Quartus II 4.1, Visual C++ 6.0and LabWindows/CVI 7.1 are used to accomplish the system software design. DSP signal processing program, logic timing signal program, the WDM device driver program of the PCI card and the system monitor program are successfully achieved in this dissertation.3. The system is applied in some kind of target emulator and the results in the pool and lake are given to prove this system has a good performance and has satisfied the project requirements.4. An improved schme of the system based on ADSP_TS201S is proposed and its hardware design and debugging are carried out. The comparison between the two method is given to show their advantages and disadvantages.Generally, in this dissertation, the high speed real-time signal processing system is...
