With the rapid development of computer technology and finite element method, more and more modern advanced design and manufacture technology is used in manufacturing. The truck crane as a branch of engine industry is close to tendency of design and manufacture industry, uses new technology for production constantly, improves the productivity of the factories, increases engineering productivity of enterprise, shortens the design periodic time of designer, decreases the market time and cost, raises the competitive power for products of factories.The essay summarizes the finite element analysis of truck crane whose section is hexagon, which makes the design optimization under the precondition of the reliability. On the basis of engineering practice and design requirement, realizes the design calculate and finite element analysis on every boom of truck carne and the optimal design on the strength board of the boom, leads in parameterization ideology, adjusts the finite element model using parameters, and increases the analytical efficiency. On the platform of Visual Basic, develops the interactive parameter adjustment interface, realizes the calling and package of ANSYS which is a finite element analysis software, forms a parameterized, specialized finite element analysis system. Presents the operating method of the software and tests the application and the feasibility of the software by the example of QY25B truck crane.CAE integrated system on the boom of truck crane whose section is hexagon, fills in the blank of the finite element analysis on boom of truck crane, it is a supplement to truck crane CAD/CAE research field, has a high use-value and realistic purpose.
