| Basing on the performance based seismic design, nonlinear analysis has been widely caught attention in earthquake engineering. Nonlinear analysis includes nonlinear static analysis and nonlinear dynamic analysis. In nonlinear dynamic structural analysis, time history analysis is mainly adopted. Because of the precise result, it is exactly the best dependable method for structural seismic nonlinear analysis. However, due to inconvenience and trivial manipulation, it is not widely used in practice (only in some theory studies). Pushover analysis is gradually deemed to an important tool for the performance based seismic design, because it is simple and practical, also can get the strength and deformation when the structure is in nonlinear state, and find out the weakness of the structure. First, this paper engages in the analysis on the recent researches in the nonlinear static and dynamic analysis and compares their key problems, merits and localization. In this thesis, four R/C frame structures with three pans including four stories, eight stories, twelve stories and sixteen stories were analyzed with SAP2000(push-over analysis) and the elastic-plastic time history analysis. The R/C frame structures were both modeled with bar systems. Plastic hinge were used in beam and column ends in order to model nonlinear deformation in SAP2000, and four load patterns were adopted with displacement control. The column was modeled with multi-spring. The concrete and steel bars in column were considered as springs in order to reflect the coupling influence between the axial force and the moment-rotation relationship, the hysteresis of springs based on the material properties. The moment-rotation relationship of beam section was modeled with the trilinear hysteresis model. Two kinds of the earthquake waves were adopted in the thesis, i.e. EL-CENTRO wave and Kobe wave. The two methods both can accurately evaluate the weakness and the destructive situation under high earthquake, so they were considered as effective method for the performance-based design. Then, according to the comparative result, it can be seem that two methods are almost consistent. But the results of the time history are a litter larger than push-over. So it is necessary to enhance the target displacement in push-over analysis. |
