LAOLUXIA hydro project lies at the southwest part of HEYUAN city. And it is build on the LAOLUXIA river, which is the branch of the PUQIAN river, the 1st branch of DONGJIANG river. This hydro project is maily for irrigation including flood controlling, water supplying and generating electricity .At the dam site of the moutain spillway dam of the lower reservoir, the width of the riverbed is about 8~12m. And thebankslope which are under the altitude of 115.0m are escarpments. And in this area, the deeply sheared valley ,sharp altitude contrast of the banks, mass faults and fractures which lead to unloading fissure alone side the structures made the slackened rocks into dangerous rocks. So the rocks have poor stability and the construction of the moutain spillway dam has a great influence on the erosion of the lower reaches of a river. This disquisition is based on the hydraulic model test of LAOLUXIA hydro project. The characteristic of moutain spillway dam is high water head, big discharge and narrow valley .Acorrding to this characteristic,Falling-sill Bottom-flow and Ski-Jump Energy Dissipator are used to take model-contrasttests.In the tests, the discharing ablity of the moutain spillway dam under various flow of flood frequence is tested .The flowp attern and the the distribution law of the velocity of flow of lower reaches of the river are also tested to test and optimize the energy dissipation forms(Falling-sill Bottom-flow and Ski-Jump Energy Dissipator ) of the moutain spillway dam. The experiments shows that when slit-type flip bucket is used, the ski-jump jet water jet diffuses along vertical and portrait directions, which makes more collision and aerifion and higher damping ratio. And the scouring and destroying action to river bed is lighted greatly.
