Geological condition of Pojia reservoir dam site is extremely complicated. Although the project belongs to III grade, "Arched concrete dam Design Standard" of our country indicates that regarding 1, 2 grade project, or the situation quite complex arch dam (for example arch dam is equipped with big hole, ground condition is complex and so on), should carry on the finite element method computation or the structural model experiment to wok out the stress and stability. Therefore the security of the dam is the question that the designing department has been caring about especially all the time.The ANSYS software is used to analyze this project. According to provided terrain, geology and arch dam arrangement data, the spatial geometry model is established. The stress and displacement of the dam are calculated in three lode cases. In the load case one, to analyze the influence of ground foundation, the stress and displacement results of the dam in the two situations of the actual ground (to have crushed zone and contact eroded belt) and the same ground (not to have crushed zone and contact eroded belt) are separately calculated.
