Arch dam is a space shell structure which is consolidated on the foundation, with the advantages of beautiful shape, strong overload capacity, small engineering quantity and so on.In recent years, with the increasing application of dam construction scale, arch dam is more and more widely used. The temperature load is a main load of the arch dam, the excessive temperature stress may lead to cracks in the arch dam, and even endanger the dam structure safety. Consequently, it has great practical significance to study on the temperature field and temperature stress field simulation of arch dam. For mass concrete, the proportion of the temperature control cost is larger, and it has a certain impact on the investment of the whole project. It has certain theoretical and practical value to estimate the total cost of temperature control.First of all, based on the finite element general software ANSYS, the APDL language is used to calculate the temperature control simulation computation program, including pre-processing, solving, post-processing and so on. The preprocessing section creates the finite element model, defines the parameters, and divides the mesh.The ANSYS software is used to analyze the whole model of the grid, and the equilibrium equation is established and the results are obtained. The post-processing part is to deal with the temperature field and temperature stress field calculation results, generate temperature and stress nephogram, draw temperature and stress duration curve.Based on the Xihua Reservoir Project in Foping County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province,three temperature control schemes are proposed in this paper. First program is a natural pouring,the second program is to control the pouring temperature of 180C ,the fthird program are to control the pouring temperature of 1i8? and water cooling.Then, the temperature field and temperature stress field of the Xihua arch dam are simulated and calculated respectively. By cosparing and analyzing the calculation results of the temperature field and temperature stress field of the three schemes, and finally reconmnended scheme 3 is the temperature control design scheme.Eventually, on the basis of the recommended temperature control scheme, the cost of temperature control is estimated from the aspects of material cooling and water cooling,which provides the basis for the investment of temperature control. According to the principle of heat balance, the appropriate material cooling method and water cooling parameters are selected for different high temperature months, and the total cost of temperature control measures is calculated according to the project budget quota and monthly concrete pouring strength.The research results provided a theoretical basis for the selection of the temperature control measures and the control of the temperature control cost in the Xihua arch dam, which are in great value of practical application.
