The informative process of power plant has brought considerable benefit.With the rapid development of power industrial market, IT plays a more and more important role in power industrial control and management, power informative process becomes the important factor that carries power industrial development forward. Now, Guohua Taishan power plant has introduced a set of supervisory information system of Siemens including PI, BFS++ , OPTIpro , Cockpit and PROFI. PI, BFS++ , OPTIpro have run in Guohua Taishan power plant.The PI database of real time is the heart of the information system of power plant, is also a bridge that joins MIS and SIS. It reads data from DCS, conserving it, every data has unique time sign, so it can promote the efficiency of reading and inquiring the data. This paper makes analysis for PI system and introduces some of the applications.The OPTIpro system that connected with PI system has met a lot of difficulties in the debug process of initial stages. This paper has put forward solving schema for these problems, and has solved these problems. Final, we have put forward little index for the management of power plant based on PI, BFS++ and OPTIpro , now stage's major is to study unit major parameter index monitoring part and unit economy index monitoring part carry out index decompose, and have realized partial functions.Under the mature technical conditions such as the control system of power plant, the management of power plant makes everybody participate in little index's competition, raising operating level, to obtain the benefits. Therefore, the research of using the index decomposition of power plant to manage is suit the management of power plant develop direction, and also have very good development prospect.
