Ride performance has been a main characteristic of modern automobile; it has direct influence to both passengers and the vehicles. To the passengers, ride performance directly influence their comfort, working efficiency and health, also response to the psychological situation and accurate response of the driver when he has been exposed to complicated driving and working environment. It will influence the stability of the'road-human-vehicle'system; play a very important role in keeping safe driving. To the passenger, a comfortable vibration environment is important not only during driving, but also guarantee them with healthy body and excellent psychological situation when arrival. To the vehicle, ride performance will influence the suspension working space and the tyres dynamic loads. The dynamic loads created by vehicle vibration accelerate the wear and tear of vehicle assembly and parts, response to assembly and parts'too early fatigue malfunction. When the dynamic loads work on the road surface through tyres, the road surface inclined to being created fatigue damage and macro damage. Dynamic tyre load also would response to the structure destruction of vehicles if the maximum amplitude of its responses be out of range. The objective of this paper is to study the improvement of ride performance of triple-axis trucks which equipped with the driver's cab-suspension-fully and trunnion suspension system. In this paper, truck ride performance models were founded based on vehicle dynamic. By comparing the different quarter-car and half-car model which founded by taking the trunnion suspension leaf spring as a whole body and separating the trunnion suspension leaf spring into two dynamic equivalent parts, we gained a more reasonable simplified model which comply with the factual performance. The vehicle ride performance was simulated by using random spectral response methods. Base on the model founded , this paper assessed the ride performance by analyzed the root mean square value of power spectral density of acceleration of z-axis and round y-axis rotation acceleration at the driver's seat. The root mean square value of suspension working spaces and dynamic tyre loads were also analyzed.Base on the assessing system of vehicle ride performance, the root mean square...
