With the continuous development of society, automobile gradually become animportant means of transport in modern society. The competitions between differentcompanies become more fiercer. More commercial vehicle companies pay attention tothe product quality no more than the numbers. The engineers and researchers also do alot researches on the ride performance and the NVH performance. The article did somestudies on the ride performance of the heavy vehicles.Firstly, a15-DOF full car model was proposed to analysis the acceleration whichwas weighted, under the B-class road condition, with different vehicle velocity. Wefound that there were some differences between the experimental values under the lowvelocity. In order to improve the model accuracy, so a tire-model was built to analysissome other factors that could lead the ride performance to be a little more critical. These factors contained the tire unbalanced mass and the radial bounce amount.Secondly, a9-DOF half car model was proposed to calculate the vehicle vibrationcharacteristics. A state matrix method was used to analysis the heavy vehicle modeshape and the vibration frequency under the null load condition. The results showedthat the chair model shape was obviously under the low frequency vibration. And then,in order to quantize the input lead by each axle, the article used the transfer function toquantize the effects.Besides, the author analyzed the sensibility of the different mainparameters by using the software of Adams/View and the Adams/Insight module. Andthen, the objective function and some constraint function were fit by the InsightModule. After then, we used the Matlab to do some parameters optimization. Finally, the article also designed a new type of damper characteristic curve tosatisfy the ride performance and the body vibration demands. The results show that itgets a good effect on the ride performance.
