Electrified railway is a prominent symbol of railway modernization and a main approach of high speed and over loading. With the running speed of electrified railway continuously enhanced, it requests security and stabilization much better for electrified railway. Therefore, it demands that the traction supply system is safe, steady, effective and continuous. When there is a fault in the traction supply system, it can fast restores fault, reduces total time of fault.Locate the fault, separate the fault and restore the fault for traction supply system in electrified railway is an important aspect of traction supply system automatization. When there is a fault in the traction supply system, according to topology of OCS(overhead contact system ), it can fast locate the fault and separate the fault section by RTU(remote terminal unit), then restore the power supply of non fault section.Firstly, this paper analyzed the traction supply system, a method of matrix is introduced to describe the topology based on figure theory, then data structures of OCS are defined to describe topology of OCS in traction supply system. At the same time, a detailed form of net-base matrix, arc matrix and node matrix for OCS are presented. Some basic notions and basic principles of matrix algorithm about fault location, fault separation for OCS in traction supply system are introduced. The algorithm and criterion of locate the fault based on "node-branch incident matrix" are presented, which is proved correct by example calculations.Secondly, on the base of fault location, a fault restoration model to "can be restored partly" is proposed that makes the possible switching operations least. By calculations to ChangChunBei substation fault using Linear Integer Programming, the restoration scheme is built finally, which is same to actual mode and is proved correct.Lastly, to all kinds of fault mode, the detailed fault restoration mode for...
