Folding double-layer cylindrical reticulated shell is a shell structure with curved surface, which has the common characteristic of both folding structures and shell structures. Its major advantages are showed as follows: it can be easy to transport and store and, used repeatedly, low request to the field and simple base setting, has good whole rigidity and space performance. However, the study of dynamic response and anti-seism performance of the shell under the function of earthquake seems too less relatively, especially the study using the time-history to the folding double-layer cylindrical reticulated shell dynamic resistant capacity is too more less to be found. In this article, the dynamic characteristic of the folding double-layer cylindrical reticulated shell structure has been analyzed with the iterative method of sub-space. The law that all kinds of influences on the structure frequency and the shaking types have been summarized also. Meanwhile, the finite element procedure ANSYS has been carried on to analyze the dynamic resistant capacity of the folding double-layer cylindrical reticulated shell working under strong earthquake by time-history analysis, and the law of the response of nodal displacement and the stress of the pole and its parts to working under the function of the one-direction , two-direction , and three-direction earthquake has been analyzed contrastively. Some laws of the influence of folding double-layer cylindrical reticulated shell on the earthquake wave's direction sensitivity have been discussed. Finally, through calculation and analysis, the influence of earthquake on the dynamic resistant capacity of the folding double-layer cylindrical reticulated shell structure has been summarized in contrast with the structure under wind and snow loads. It can be concluded that the influence of earthquake is extraordinary small and don't be considered in structure designs at 8° ant-seismic regions.
