Prestressed partial double layer cylindrical reticulated shell is a new-type space structure system, which is the combination of prestressing technique and reticulated shell. At present, researches about this structure system are relatively insufficient. In this paper, the finite element analysis method is used to systematically study the structural stress performance of a cylindrical reticulated shell on which the prestressed cables are arranged.Firstly, the performance of internal force and displacement of the cylindrical reticulated shell is studied through static analysis when the prestressed cables are arranged, then, the influences of rise span ratio and prestress value on structural stress performance are analyzed. Moreover, the linear and nonlinear stability analysis of the structure is conducted to research the influences of prestressed cables on the structure, and the influences of parameters(rise span ratio, prestress value, section of cables) change on the structural stability are analyzed. The analysis results indicate that application of prestressed cables can reduce the maximum internal force and displacement of the structure, increase rigidness of the structure and improve its stability. Furthermore, the rise span ratio, prestress value and section of cables are proved to be key factors that influence structural stress performance.Secondly, the performance of structural vibration characteristics is studied when the prestressed cables are arranged. The time-history analysis method is employed to research the influences of earthquake direction on the structure and the dynamic response of the structure under the function of frequent earthquake. The results show that the application of prestressed cables can increase the natural frequency of the structure in certain extent and change the mode of vibration. Under the function of three-dimensional earthquake, the seismic response of the structure present to be the greatest and the seismic response at the place where the cables are anchored will increase. The results of parameter analysis indicate that the prestress value has little influences on dynamic performance of the structure, and increasing section area of cables can improve natural frequency of the structure.
