Landscape Study On Soundscape And Smellscape

The paper maily studied forms of soundscape and smellscape of landscape, and though analysing many examples, the essay has primarily set up a frame of studying smellscape and soundscape in landscape architecture, at the same time, as to those application forms, in order to guide the modern landscape to apply those forms, attentions, analysis and summaries are also pointed out, further more, the essay also give advice and make innovations to them.The first chapter gave the explanations of soundscape and smellscape, further more, gave the explanations of soundscape and smellscape of landscape, summarized the history and current situation of soundscape and smellscape. The next chapter gave six basic theories, such as Landscape Aesthetics, Environment Psychology, Acoustics of Mental and Physiology and etc to explan the topic; the third part of the paper relate soundscape and smell science to classify sound and fragrance. In order to avoid more problems, the fouth chapter emphasized three piece of precautions of the application of soundscape and smellscape in landscape. The last chapter put forward sumarizations and prospect of the field, and put forward several shortages of the research, expecting more deeper research.And at the same time, the author also hopes to make a little contribution to the modern landscape architecture when we inherit and develop the Chinese Classical Gardens and foreign landscape.
